So we still have to wait year and half long to see it. And in the meanwhile, the platform, bios and drivers, CPU and motherboard and all other collateral will be zeroed. When it launches, Cedarview-D will at least be 32nm processor; should offer higher clock speed in comparison to Pineview-D and ofcourse, current slew of Atom processors.

Cedarview-D not going to bring abnormal increase in speeds

NetBook

cedar view

cedarview

intel atom

pine view

Cedarview-D, which is going to be the Pineview's successor will be based on 32nm design. This means that we should expect some good increase in the CPU speed. Intel claims that we should expect 5-10% increase in performance. Intel has also promised to keep the power consumption below 10W which means it will be a very power-sipping processor. So, the speed increase won't be ground-breaking. It will just be marginally faster than the current Atom processors. Users who want more power and still want a power efficient processor should look at the Intel CULV-powered netbooks and notebooks.
