Acer DirectX 11 notebook coming soon
Acer soon will be bringing its gaming notebook, Aspire 8942G-728G1280TWN, equipped with Core i7-720QM, 8GB of DDR3 memory, two 640GB HDD and Blu-ray to boot. It sports 18.4-inch with 1980×1080 LED display and comes with AMD’s Mobile Radeon HD5850 with 1GB of GDDR5.
This would be the first notebook with DirectX 11 graphics. Ports include 4 USB 2.0 ports, 802.11 abgn, Bluetooth, ExpressCard, HDMI, 5-in-1 card reader and a host of other goodies. It weighs 4.6 kg. Also its there with 8-cell battery.
Nothing is yet known about its pricing and availability.
10-inch VIA-powered netbook costing $185 – made in China
Meet Phecda PHV102, a 10-inch netbook powered by VIA C7 processor. Here is a quick glance at its specs:

The VIA C7 was used in the 1st generation netbooks like HP Mini 2133, whose performance was disappointing as it came with Vista. This machine runs XP and we know it very well that XP runs pretty decent on VIA C7 CPU.
But, we must confess that we despise that little right shift key.

Xitrix TravelPro M10 Netboook is a netbook that is made from a local PC manufacture from Phillippins. Let’s take a glance at its specs:

Lenovo Netbook with built-in 3G noticed at FCC
A new Lenovo netbook has been noticed at the FCC. It is a 10-inch netbook, codenamed 0251. Nothing is known about its processor or OS. It features 1 USB 2.0 port, mini-HDM, earphone jack and card reader slot. It also has built-in 3G, WiFi and Bluetooth
Tigris based notebook exposed by MSI – MSI CR610
MSIhas announced a classic notebook, the CR610. As based on AMD’s Tigris platform, it features both AMD’s Athlon II dual-core CPU and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 graphics, which compliments to the RS880M chipset. CR610 is an 16-incher, 16:9 1366×768 display, measures 374x247x18-30mm and 2.48kg is the weight along with battery. Also, it features upto 4GB of DDR2 667/800 memory in two DDR2 SO-DIMM slots. Other specs include DVD Super-Multi optical drive, 250, 320 or 500GB 2.5-inch SATA drive, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, 1.3MP webcam, eSATA and D-Sub and HDMI outputs, Ethernet, 4-in-1 card reader and packs 6-cell battery.
The OS is Window 7, with which it will ship. No word regarding, When and For How much.
Shnazai’s first pine trail nettop – KND K1850
Known as KND K1850 all-in-one desktop, the most significant feature about this nettop is that it runs Intel’s new Pineview processor, the new Atom D1850 chip (1.66GHz). It features an 18.5 inch display and comes equipped with a 250GB hard drive, 2GB of DDR2, a DVD ROM, USB ports, LAN, Wi-Fi and a 3-in-1 card reader.
It is just a matter of time when big guys like Acer and Asus will start releasing pine trail based nettops and netbooks.
Zotac Mag nettop has dual-core Atom + ION chipset
Zotac has announced a nettop called Mag, which is a pretty small nettop. It will be made available in two versions. One single core: Atom 230 and other dual core: Atom 330.
Both versions are otherwise identical: 2GB RAM, 160GB HDD, NVidia’s 9400M ION chipset, LAN, WiFi (b/g/n), eSATA port, 4-in-1 card reader, 6 USB 2.0 ports, HDMI out and D-Sub out. The price of dual core version is expected to be around €249. Price of single core version is not yet known, but will inevitably be cheaper than the former.
Dual core version will hit the shelves in the month of November, whereas the Single core version will make its appearance sometime after it.
Dell Zino HD – Two models and Specs noticed – Inspiron 300 and Inspiron 400
DellZinoHD.com has noticed specs for the Dell Zino HD. Earlier, it was not made clear by Dell that what was inside the Zino HD apart from having “desktop parts” and ports on the back.
Through support manuals on Dell’s site, the specs came into noticed. There are going to be two Zino HD models: The Inspiron 300 and Inspiron 400. Inspiron 300 is a low end model with no ION chipset. Instead, it comes with the vanilla Intel GMA graphics and an Intel Atom processor. It has 1GB RAM, 4-in-1 Card reader, 3.5-inch SATA HDD that is used the desktops. It also features a DVD burner. there is no eSATA port.
Inspiron 400 has beefier specs. It comes with the powerful AMD Athlon (or Athlon X2 processor). It has 8GB RAM (!), Blu-ray drive or DVD burner, WiFi (b/g/n), HDMI, VGA, Gigabit Ethernet. Unlike Inspiron 300, it has 2 eSATA ports. There is also an option for ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4330 graphic chipset.
It weighs 2.0kg
Haleron Swordfish – powered by two Intel Atom N270 processors – one of its kind?
Here is a netbook that is very unique: Haleron Swordfish, which is powered by (unusually) two Intel Atom N270 processors, each running at 1.6GHz clock speed. Rest of its specs are netbook-ish:

Commentary: Two N270 processors! Talk about some serious dual core action. However, integrating two weak processors do not make one powerful processor. It is still a netbook processor and still won’t stand anywhere close to core 2 duo’s horsepower
HP Pavilion DM1 – based on CULV platform
The 11.6-inch HP Pavilion DM1 has made its appearance in the HP’s (leaked) Winter catalog. Having 1366 x 768 resolution on its 11.6-inch display and battery life rated at up to 9 hours, this netbook/mini-notebook offers excellent combination of battery life without sacrificing too much on performance. It will be available with Windows 7 Home Premium. Color choice: Black or white
