ASUS EEE 1008HA – couple of benchmarks, start up and shut down time

Some people are highly into benchmarks and their sometimes, even their buying decisions are solely based on the benchmarks. We have compared its HDD and CPU performance with most of the modern netbooks around.

VAIO P gets Atom Z550 processor, 256GB SSD and WiMAX!

Earlier, we heard about Sony offering the Atom Z550 processor, which runs at a clock speed of 2GHz. Now, SONY Japan is giving the option to equip VAIO P with WiMAX radio. Unfortunately, not whole world can get a VAIO P with the built-in WiMAX radio.

It is great to know that one can now get a more powerful VAIO P by getting it with a faster SSD; a more powerful Z550 processor and WiMAX! Now, if they could lower down the price a bit, it would be perfect.

UMID MBOOK benchmarked

It performed ‘ok’ in all the tests except in D2D and OGL. Here is the screenshot of results obtained when I reviewed the ASUS EEE S101 (which is also SSD based). The D2D and OGL scores are not shabby compared to UMID.

ASUS EEE S101 SSD performance – not too shabby [Netbook]

ASUS EEE S101 is the ASUS’s flagship EEE model. The S101 promises style together with function. I received the unit yesterday and I immediately put it to test which should give you an idea about its SSD performance. Here is the screenshot of CrystalDiskMark benchmark test:
