11.6-inch Acer Ferrari One official in US, no HDMI port
11.6inch Acer Aspire One sporting a Ferrari logo is now available in the US. Priced at $600, it measures 11.2 x 8.03 x 0.9/1.2-inch and weighs 3.31 pounds. It runs 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium OS and comes with 5600mAh 6-cell Battery that should run good for 5-hours
The Acer Ferrari One (model FO200-1799) has 11.6-inch display with1366 x 768 resolution just like the current Acer’s 11.6-incher, Aspire 751H. Underneath, it runs a much more powerful dual core AMD Athlon 64 X2 L310 processor (1.2GHz), 4GB RAM, AMD M780G Chipset and 250GB Hard disk. It has a nice ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphic card instead of the pathetic GMA 500 chipset.
However, there is no HDMI port in this model. We wonder why was it removed since it has the GPU and CPU to run HD videos perfectly.

Acer Ferrari Netbook coming to Japan later this month
ACER has officially launched the ‘hot one’! Yes, we are talking about the red hot Ferrari One netbook. This F1-inspired netbook has red color on its lid (that obvious) and reg hinges with a mighty horse badge on its Royal Red lid.
Acer also made sure that this netbook packs more power than the conventional netbooks that you see around. After all, it is a “Ferrari netbook“. It has
- AMD Athlon Neo X2 L310 (1.20GHz)
- 11.6-inch screen
- 1366×768 resolution
- 160GB HDD
- 4GB RAM
- Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g
- Weight 1.5kg.
4GB RAM, gratifying, we are sure for many people, but 160GB HDD sounds a bit less as most of the current netbooks are coming with 250GB capacity. But, we are not complaining as it can be easily swapped with a 500GB HDD. Price is still not yet known, but this Ferrari Mini Laptop will hit Japanese market on November 27 and other parts of the month some days after that.
Acer Ferrari One Review
Acer Ferrari One to feature ATi Radeon HD 4670 GPU!
Acer Ferrari One (quick look) is a netbook with a lot of muscle power inside. Its XGP port caught a lot of attention when it is first unveiled. According to CNET, the XGP interface can be used to plug-in a dock that has the ATi Mobility Radeon HD 4670 GPU which has the capability of pushing a mighty 2048×1536 pixels on its external display. The dock also adds 6 USB 2.0 ports.
So, if you think that its dual-core chip along with its internal ATi GPU was not enough, you can further have the boost by just plugging in an external GPU, which the Acer calls, DynaVivid Graphics Dock. This dock weighs 650gm and will be available for $199 in the month of November.

Acer Ferrari One quick review
Apart from sporting stunning and sleek looks, Acer Ferrari One netbook is based on AMD’s Congo platform. Some people may regard it as ultrathin notebook, but we prefer to call it a netbook with lots of muscle-power.
Its AMD Athlon X2 L310 processor works at 1.2GHz clock speed and features 1MB of L2 cache. It has Radeon HD 3200 integrated graphics which comes with up to 2048MB of HyperMemory or to be precise it has 256+128MB of dedicated memory and up to 1663MB of shared system memory. The netbook/notebook is equipped with 2GB of DDR2 667/800 RAM ( upgradable upto 4GB as it has two SO-DIMM slots). This is unlike most of the netbooks that can have only upto 2GB RAM and sport only one SO-DIMM slot.
