Review of Acer Aspire One 532h
So this netbook outing from Acer has been around for a number of months already so it is time to see how it really compares. The device uses an Atom N450 processor and though it is not the top of the line, it provides a smooth operation running in lower power and cooler operation. The [...]

For about £250 or about $400 US our English friends can pick up this lovely mini-laptop from Acer. In the UK though Aspire One Happy will dual boot Windows 7 and Google Android 2.1. Acer Aspire Timeline 1810T: Chassis of a netbook, Heart of a notebook – this is what Aspire One 751H should have been!
A lot of people have complained about Acer Aspire One 751H performance. Heck, we even got news that Acer is going to slow down the production of its 751H models as these models are not selling that well. Perhaps that is the reason Acer is introducing a model under its Timeline series that comes with the chassis of Aspire One 751H and uses Intel ULV SU3500 CPU that runs at 1.4GHz.
Also, instead of the usual Intel GMA 950 graphics that can support only upto 2GB of RAM, it will be using Intel GMA 4500MHD chipset that can handle upto 4GB of RAM. The upcoming Microsoft’s OS, Windows 7 will love the extra RAM.
One of the concerns of choosing a non-Atom processor can be a battery life. Well, do not worry about that as it promises 8 hours of battery life, which is on par with all the latest netbooks.
Commentary: Many netbook companies market netbooks as devices to *just* surf the web and for doing basic office editing. But, we all know that they are capable of doing much more than that. Now, with the use of ULV (Ultra Low Voltage) processors in netbooks, the boundary line between notebooks and netbooks gets even more blurred.
At first blush, it may seem fantastic, but we are pretty sure that it won’t be as cheap as regular netbooks which retail under $450.
Acer to launch Aspire One Pro 531 soon
Acer is planning to product a business version of its Aspire one netbooks. A couple of days back, we mentioned about the 11-inch Aspire one. That one will be known by Aspire One 731. Acer is also going to produce a 10-inch version of the 731, which is will be known as the Aspire One Pro 531. Both of them will share similar specifications.

- Battery life: 4 hours with the standard battery and 8 hours with the extended battery.
