However, there is one thing that has stopped most of the manufactures NOT to use it in their netbooks: PRICE.I feel acutely that once Intel and AMD, reduce the prices of the CULV processors a bit, most of the netbook manufactures will opt for equipping their netbooks with these more powerful CULV processors instead of Intel Atom CPUs.Click on read more to read the full article!

Acer to offer Celeron-based CULV processors for its ultra-thin notebooks

random

acer

Britain

cache

celeron

Celeron-based

CPUs

CULV

dual core

gap

incher

model

models

notebooks

processors

quid

range

series

target

timeline

timelines

type

version

Acer is very soon going to bring few changes in the type of processors being used in its Timeline thin-and-light series. This includes SU2700 and the Celeron 743.The Celeron 743 is supposed to be 100MHz faster than the current 723 model and will hit the market at the same price as the old Celeron 723, which used to cost around $107.Whereas the SU2700 is a bit more promising and will cost $134. That's half of what an SU3500 costs right now. The SU2700 CPU runs at 1.2GHz and features just 1MB of cache. But that does not make it a bad buy at all! It's still a much better choice than the Celeron.Intel is very sure that the 743 is 1.7 to 2.1 times faster than an Atom N270 in audio transcoding and image processing. The new processor are expected to make their debut in China in early September and globally later that month

Compal to make ultra-thin notebooks for DELL

NetBook

August

Compal

CPUs

CULV

dell

Intel

lenovo

month

order

toshiba

ultra

According to Digitimes, Compal has received order from Dell to make ultra-thin notebooks using Intel's CULV CPUs.
