MSI X340 now with Lower price and Bigger battery

On one hand, we have costly ultraportables, where one has to pay a high price for the thin and lackluster battery run times. Whereas on the other hand, we have the MSI X340 which now packs in a new 8-cell battery! Good news does not end there as MSI has also dropped the price from $899 to $799. With its increased battery capacity, MSI claims that it will run for 8 hours and 48 minutes.

However, now the MSI X340 has a little protrusion on the bottom of its chassis. For the existing X340 owners,MSI is offering the 8-cell battery as an upgrade for $99.

MSI X340 is still a great ultraportable and comes with Intel Core 2 Solo SU3500 CULV, 2GB of RAM and 320GB hard drive. Note that this SU3500 CPU is more powerful than the Intel Atom processors.
