7-inch MID – HOTT MH700

HOTT has officially released a new MID called the MH700. This MID or Tablet, whatever way you feel like calling it, dons an impressive 7-inch display and 1080p video playback capability, something still lacking in most of the MIDs that we see around. Other specifications are:

• 7-inch WVGA display (16:9)
• WIndows CE operating system
• Dimensions: 192 x 115 x 14.5mm
• Wi-Fi
• Built-in 3G

GPAD – runs Windows CE

One thing is for sure – these Chinese manufactures make amazing slate tablets. Meet the GPAD, a 7-inch slate that runs Windows CE operating system. This suave MID is powered by ARM11-based Telechips 8910 processor (720MHz) which features Garfunkel 4GB flash storage, 256MB DDR2 RAM, Wi-Fi, GPS and a 0.3MP camera. Do not panic by its low storage space as it is easily expandable via microSD card slot. It comes equipped with a modest 1400mAh li-poly battery.

If want wireless on-the-go, you can go for the one that comes equipped with a built-in 3G module. The company also promises to offer an Android version in future. Priced at less than 300 dollars, we think it is a bit over-priced, as there are bucketful of iPad rip-offs that retail at a much affordable price compared to the GPAD.

3GNET MI11 MID has built-in 3G

Shenzhen 3GNET, a Chinese company has launched its first MID MI11 in dragon land. We do not have the complete specs yet of this fantastic device, but we do know that it has a 5 inches display, 16GB or 32GB SSD, Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity. It also comes with built-in handwriting recognition software too.

No information on its price and release date.

Soyea Z5 MID – Atom MID with built-in 3G

There are not a lot of MIDs in the market that are x86-based. Being x86 gives you an advantage over the ARM based MIDs- use Desktop OS on these tiny devices. Soyea Z5 MID is one them. Using an Atom Z515 processor @ 1.2GHz clock speed and touting a 5-inch WVGA (800×480) touchscreen display, it runs Windows XP very nicely. You also get Linux as an option. It has 3G-chip integrated and weighs just 357gms.

It has Bluetooth 2.0+EDR and WiFI radio too.
