Heck, we even got news that Acer is going to slow down the production of its 751H models as these models are not selling that well. Perhaps that is the reason Acer is introducing a model under its Timeline series that comes with the chassis of Aspire One 751H and uses Intel ULV SU3500 CPU that runs at 1.4GHz.

Also, instead of the usual Intel GMA 950 graphics that can support only upto 2GB of RAM, it will be using Intel GMA 4500MHD chipset that can handle upto 4GB of RAM. The upcoming Microsoft’s OS, Windows 7 will love the extra RAM.

One of the concerns of choosing a non-Atom processor can be a battery life. Well, do not worry about that as it promises 8 hours of battery life, which is on par with all the latest netbooks.

Commentary: Many netbook companies market netbooks as devices to *just* surf the web and for doing basic office editing. But, we all know that they are capable of doing much more than that. Now, with the use of ULV (Ultra Low Voltage) processors in netbooks, the boundary line between notebooks and netbooks gets even more blurred.

At first blush, it may seem fantastic, but we are pretty sure that it won’t be as cheap as regular netbooks which retail under $450.
