Ubuntu on a NOOKcolor
We have seen crafty hackers swapping OS before. We have written about an auto rooter for your NOOKcolor eBook Reader. Here is NOOKcolor eBook Reader running Ubuntu Linux. If you’d like to do it yourselves just follow these instructions. All you need is your Nookcolor and SD card with Ubuntu on it. It’s not that complex as NOOK color doesn’t run on Ubuntu. It keeps running on Android. It’s just that it allows you to boot into the OS using an Android VNC app. So when you’re done, you can just shut down the VNC client. It’s a bit slow though.
