Sony S1 and S2 Tablets geared for gaming

Sony has now released to public knowledge their new Android tablet offerings, the Sony S1 and S2. One will feature a 9.4 inch screen and the other one is a dual screen model. The two tablets will be running on the Android 3.0 Honeycomb. Sony seems to have implemented a custom software that is pretty much apparent on the dual screen model. If you are a gamer, be happy since the two tablets are Playstation verified so you can place classic Play station games into the tablets. The tablets will also use the Qriosity Media store so you can download movies, media and books.

The S1 tablet is the 9.4 inch tablet and it will use the NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual core processor. There is an infrared sensor that will enable you to use the tablet as a remote for other Sony gadgets. Sony S1 has 2 cameras and it supports DLNA to allow streaming of media from the tablet to other devices. The wedge design will make it easier to hold.

The next one is Sony S2 that has 2, 5 1/2 inch screens. You can use the screens together and even run separate apps on each. The screens boast of 1024×480 pixels each and it has an ergonomic cylindrical shape when folded. S2 will also use the NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor. The tablets will be ready for 3G and 4G when it arrives in stores by fall. The prices are quite steep but still unconfirmed. It was said that the S1 will fare for around $600 and the S2 will be at $700.
