Notion Ink Adam tablet is out tomorrow
Starting tomorrow December 9th Notion Ink will take pre orders for their Adam tablet. Pre-orders go by priority to people who are registered and commented in Notion Ink blog.
Firmware update to Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) is promised in just few weeks after release. The tablet is being shipped with Android 2.2 Froyo. Notion Ink Adam tablet will ship with 1 Gb of RAM and 8 Gb of memory.
As we posted here at GadgetMix a while ago Adam gets an impressive 15 hour battery life and unlike other tablets is comes with 180-degree swiveling camera. Notion Ink also pioneers Pixel Qi’s technology, which allows user to switch between full color and high contrast and their very own multitasking of applications going into “sleep” modes when they’re not in use. This special multitasking is very effective as only certain key components (features, data-base, networking components, UI elements) keep idling and active apps thus receive that much more of power juice.
Adam Tablet with LCD display and WiFi starts at $399. Adding 3G or Pixel Qi display will bring the price up to $449. Getting with all bells and whistles (Pixel Qi display, 3G and WiFi will put you back by $498.

There is no registration in the blog, and Rohan Shravan’s post about this said that people who posted before his 04.12 update would be able to pre-order (except for people who posted anonymously).
Nobody from NI actually promised Gingerbread within a few weeks of release.
Pixel Qi displays allow users to switch between backlit and reflective modes.
almost forgot:
Pricing has also not been officially confirmed.
