Netbook Navigator NAV10T – Dualcore Windows Tablet
Netbook Navigator has launched one of the first Windows tablets of 2012 with a dual-core 1.66GHz Intel Atom Z570 processor. It sells for $500, though you’ll need to pay extra for an operating system. The Netbook Navigator NAV10T tablet features a 10.1-inch 1366 x 768 pixel capacitive multi-touch screen.
NAV10T has a healthy 2GB DDR3 RAM, and a pacy 16GB solid state disk to ensure maximum performance. That’s a pretty impressive set of components for a Windows tab, and the Netbook Navigator NAV10T is configurable with anything up to 128GB of flash storage space, as well as 3G connectivity.
As far as the all-important OS goes, buyers can choose between Windows 7 Home Premium, Professional, or Ultimate. Internet connectivity is possible on all models via WiFi-n and Bluetooth 2.1, and the tablet also features a 1.3MP front-facing camera for business video-conferencing, stereo speakers (don’t expect full-on rock concert quality), 2 USB-2 ports, a microSD card slot and a SIM card slot. The NAV10T weighs 1.8 pounds making it pretty portable too. To sum up, that spec list reads as just about the best Windows tablet solution out there, certainly for $600 or so (OS included). Touchscreen Windows Office anyone? Just what the world has been waiting for.
