Lenovo Windows 8 tabletop at CES

Lenovo IdeaCentre Horizon

Lenovo IdeaCentre Horizon

27-inch IdeaCentre Horizon windows 8 tablet is meant to be laid down on top of your coffee table for an evening of family fun. Over 5,000 apps are ready and linked via App Store. I am a bit reluctant to call it a tablet or a portable device, even if it does have a 2 hour battery. For one, 27-inch anything doesn’t fit any of my bags and dragging 6kg around isn’t much fun either. Inviting few of my buddies for Saturday’s friendly match of air hockey does sound intriguing though.

The back hinge mechanism support the weight nicely. In this position the IdeaCentre can be used for presentations, or wherever large screen may be useful. It is a full fetched Windows 8 machine with 1080p 10-point touchscreen and backed up by powerful Intel processor.
