Lenovo-ThinkPad-Tablet-3

Lenovo has a enterprise lineup of notebooks and tablets. Lenovo Thinkpad X1 is a premium notebook. Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet is a premium business tablet. It’s basically Lenovo IdeaPad K1 with added business features.

Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet is a 10 inch Android 3.1 business tablet. It is run by 1 GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual core chipset. To connect to the internet you can use WiFi or optional 3G. The added premium features would be pressure-sensitive pen for writing or drawing, and a Folio keyboard case with Lenovo’s TrackPoint system. You’d get 64GB of storage inside tablet and 2GB of free cloud storage. Another premium feature is preloaded DataViz Documents To Go to allow for editing Office docs.

I/O ports are HDMI, USB, SD card (with encrypting support), microphone and stereo jacks.

Design:

Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet is a solidly built tablet. It offers few additional buttons on one of the shorter sides. Honeycomb OS is a buttonless OS. The extra buttons we see are for home, back, browser and screen orientation. I am not really sure why this is an advantage of any kind. Perhaps you can let me know in the comments.

Size and weight:

Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet has a 10 inch IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass and 1280 x 800 screen resolution. It is 1.58 pound light and measures 10.3″ x 7.2″ x 0.6″. This makes it a bit lighter and smaller than its base IdeaPad K1. Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet goes on sale today July 20th for all US. It is expected to sell for $499. The rest of the world has this one scheduled for Q3.
