Archos 35IT
We’re beginning to lose track of the vast array of Archos tablets appearing in various markets. Now the Archos 35 Internet tablet makes its debut, seen amongst french retailer Fnac wares selling for $134, or 99.99 euros.

The petite 3.5″ display features a 272 x 480 resolution, and is powered by at 800MHz ARM Cortex-A8 CPU. The operating system is Android 2.2 Froyo, more suited to the phone-like display, and there’s 4GB of built-in storage. Apparently the tablet is more a part of the Gen8 range than a member of the latest Gen9 family of devices. The new Gen9 line includes the Archos 101 and Archos 80, and features faster processors running Android Honeycomb, which is optimized for tablet use. But for 100 euros, the Archos 35IT seems a pretty good deal, with a larger display than the old model and at on-board speaker instead of the old headphone jack. But there’s no access to the Android App Store – the 35 IT is pre-loaded with the AppsLib app store, though other third-party app stores can be installed.
