App demo and gaming with Motorola Xoom

  • Sharebar

Motorola XOOM

The Motorola Xoom measures at around 10.1 inches and it uses the NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor. It has a screen resolution of 1280×800 pixels and can handle a 1080p HD playback and 720p recording. The Xoom has a camera, Bluetooth, WiFi, as well as a storage capacity of 32 GB. The battery was said to run for 10hrs worth of video. On its first demo, let’s see how Xoom handles Monster Madness.

There are 3 modes that you can select using the on screen controllers. One is the accelerometer mode that you cannot use while driving to prevent hitting on anyone. In some effects like plunging into water filled areas slowed down the Xoom quite a bit which is quite surprising since it runs on Unreal Engine and on paper, it should be able to handle different cores. The Xoom is also capable of a bit of multitasking here and there. It would be best if you look at how it works on video since it will really show you how the Xoom works in real time. In this next video of Grocery IQ shows the application fragment setting when you switch between the landscape and portrait. This feature then has a 2 pane view for the tablet.
We’ll also get a closer look at adding and removing widgets.
