AMD and MeeGo Linux project
The MeeGo is an open source technological project that is based on Linux and AMD has stated that it will support the project and will carry it. Since Linux is open, MeeGo is expected to run on everything that has a microprocessor inside. This is good news since if there is an open source platform, cross platforms of the applications can be fully realized. This is an open mobile operating system and hopefully it will be picked up by mobile device makers. According to AMD, this will also open up opportunities to expand the market for the APUs that combines graphics and CPU into one system.
