Acer to postpone Tablet PC launch
Acer Android tablet may get postponed to the Q1 2011 from Q4 2010 as the company has plans to launch it with Android 3.0 OS instead. This makes perfect sense as the OS brings in the much-needed support for higher-resolution displays – the maximum resolution supported by Android 2.2 is 800×480. The Android 3.0 will support up to 1366×768 pixel displays.
This, however, will not affect the release date of their Windows 7 tablet slated to be launched before the end of this year (2010).
