Freescale Atom CPU power management

  • Sharebar

Freescale has come up with power management for the Atom-based platforms. Freescale’s power management IC (PMIC) is based around  two chips using Freescale’s  SMARTMOS technology, a high-voltage CMOS-based process that enables high integration of precision analog, power and logic. When paired with Intel’s low-power processors and chipsets, it chipset provides increased energy efficiency for Intel-based tablets, smartphones and other Internet consumer devices.

Great blog post. A few things i would like to contribute is that pc memory must be purchased but if your computer cannot cope with whatever you do with it. One can install two good old ram boards with 1GB each, in particular, but not one of 1GB and one of 2GB. One should look for the car maker’s documentation for one’s PC to be sure what type of memory space is required.
