Acer to offer Celeron-based CULV processors for its ultra-thin notebooks

  • Sharebar

Acer is very soon going to bring few changes in the type of processors being used in its Timeline thin-and-light series. For the low end models, Acer will offer Celeron-based Timelines.

Until now we have encountered the 5410T and 3410T, 15.6” and 13.3”  models based on the Celeron 723 at 1.3GHz. The 13-incher is priced under €500, and the 15-inch should also have the same range as the 13” model.

Interestingly, there is addition of dual-core SU4100 and SU7300 CPUs. The 13” model runs at 1.3GHz and has 2MB of L2 cache and it should overcome the gap between the SU3500 and SU9400, and above all, it has a reasonable price. According to some early listings in Britain, the SU4100-based 3810T will sell for 529 quid, which is about the same as you would pay for a SU3500-based version.
Nothing is known about the SU7300-based models, but prices were really shocking. You might be able to get the SU7300 for less than a SU9400-based model, under £600. The SU7300 is also clocked at 1.3GHz, but has 3MB of L2 cache.
