NTT DoCoMo shows off new Aquos Pad SH-08E 7-inch tablet by Sharp. The LTE capable tablet can download at speeds of 100Mbps while dipped in water or pile of dust. Sharp is also coming in with a flagship quad-core 1080p phone called Aquos Zeta SH-06E.
The Sharp Aquos Pad SH-08E tablet sports 7-inch IGZO display with 1,920 x 1,200 pixel resolution. Featuring the latest Android 4.2 software, the tablet connects via WiFi. It has NFC and TV tuning as well.
At the top of the rear Aquos Pad SH-08E has an 8.1-megapixel camera and for video chat there is 2.1 megapixel webcam up front. The Juicepack is 4,200mAh and all runs by powerful 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 chip with help of 2 GB of RAM.
The water-proof and dust-proof tablet is coming to NTT DoCoMo in Japan at the end of July. There is no word on pricing or availability in US.
Sharp is also featuring new Sharp Aquos Zeta SH-06E phone running the same top rated Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor clocked at 1.7 GHz. The 4.8-inch IGZO TFT LCD Full HD display features 1,080 x 1,920 pixels. The power-pack is 2,600mAh. Operating system is Google’s Android 4.2. 1080p Zeta phone has 13.1 megapixel camera at the back and 2.1 megapixel one up front.
This top specced smartphone is ready for Xi LTE service of NTT DoCoMo taking things down at 100Mbps and up at 37.5Mbps and if you’re in Japan you should see it in NTT DoCoMo’s stores by May 24th.
