HPad A116 Android Tablet from Hanvon
Hanvon is now showing some new tablet models that exude a solid build. The interface is also very interesting. The device is designed mainly for digital media. This is the Hpad A116 with a 7 inch screen. The resolution is 1024×600 on the capacitive touch screen. The processor is the Arm Cortex A8 and it will run on Android 2.2 or 2.3. The Hpad A116 has 2 cameras at the front and rear. It also has Bluetooth, Wi Fi and 3G. Hpad uses a 3300mAh battery. The company said that the device will be able to handle 6 hours of video playback and it can also handle 8 hours for reading.
The most interesting thing about the Hpad A116 its sturdy casing that is made of a steel back panel and an aluminum magnesium alloy on the sides. Even with that robust structure, it still feels light with 0.42 inches in thickness. The company shows off the device with a unique user interface on top of the Android. This allows you to flip home screens so that you can access books, applications as well as widgets. As of the moment, this Hanvon creation is still not certified by Google. This means you will not be able to access the market. However, Hanvon has its own market where you can access 5000 applications. The media store offers thousands of media from books to magazines. However, as of the moment, the device is likely for the Chinese market. The company also released a less exciting tablet called the Hpad A112 but it is smaller and has smaller specs.
We are still waiting if this new device will be released in other countries but hopefully it will be available for trial so we can check the functionality and power of this device. Undeniably, this one looks quite promising so hopefully it does live up to expectations.
