AMD Ontario C-50 vs. Intel Atom N550
There has been a question regarding the power envelope of the AMD Ontario in recent times since it was first announced. One of the newer laptops bearing the AMD Ontario was a Toshiba and it was placed on a test run. It was tested on idle time, regular surfing, video streaming, HD streaming and video editing. When idle, the N550 had a higher wattage. When surfing the net, the N550 is still higher worth 6.5W compared to the 6W of the Ontario C-50. N550 has one of the best power consumption results compared to other processors. Overall, C-50 surpassed performance but at the expense of price.
