Teclast C520

Teclast has launched a new PMP in the market, called the C520. This PMP sports 5-inch display and has the capability to play back 1080p videos. Of course, just like any other Chinese PMP, there is support for myriad of codecs – C-1, MKV, TS. It supports AVI, RM, RMVB, 3GP, DAT, FLV, MP4, MPG, VOB, MKV, MOV videos and MP3, AAC, WMA, FLAC and APE. Oh, and it can also be used as an eReader.

Unfortunately, there is no HDMI port. Its price also remains a mystery

RAmos Q28cam – records 720p videos too!

This PMP from RAmos promises to replace your digital camera, thanks to its 720p video recording capability. This one of its kind PMP records videos in MP4 format and of course, plays music and videos flawlessly too. The camera built in is mere 3MP which makes us wonder how was the RAmos able to incorporate the 720p video recording functionality into this baby.

Onda VX560 – 1080p goodness

Onda has unveiled a new PMP in the Chinese market, the VX560, which sports the rare capability to playback the 1080p videos on its beautiful 7 inch WVGA display. Just like most of the PMPs in the market, it comes with the support to play most of the videos out there – RM/RMVB, MKV(H.264), AVI, MOV, FLV, MPG, VOB, DAT and TS video formats. On the device, there is an HDMI port too so that you can hook it up with your favorite HDTV and watch the high-definition videos in all their glory.

It also supports all the eReader formats out there and thus can also be used as an eReader

Ainola V9000HDA

Announced back in December 2009, this suave V9000HDA features a 4.3-inch touchscreen with WVGA display. Outside you will find the rare HDMI port too that will let you hook it up with an HDTV. Supported formats include – MKV, MOV, AVI, VOB, DAT, MPG, PMP, 3GP, FLV, WMV, ASF , RM and RMVB.

Itoos M8HDP

Itoos is all set to launch a new PMP in the market, called the M8HDP in the market. Unlike most of the PMPs which are stucked at ‘mere’ 720p or 1080p HD, this one flaunts 1280p video support. It sports a nice 5-inch 800×480 display. Of course, just like any other Chinese PMP, you get tonnes of built-in codecs – H.264, MPEG-2, VC-1, RM/RMVB, MKV, MOV, TS, AVI, MPG, M2TS, M4V, PMP, MP4, 3GP, VOB and DAT.

We were shocked to learn that there is no HDMI support. What a waste of 1280p video capability!

Microsoft Zune HD Firmware 4.5

Microsoft, obviously care about the Zune HD users and thus have released firmware 4.5 for the latter. The core changes include ability to read XVid and AVI video files. Also, now when connected via dock to the TV, it will now be possible to navigate and play streaming music  from the Zune HD. The music recommendation features called the Picks will also be available

JXD A10 PMP

JXD has churned-out a new PMP in the market, the A10. It comes equipped with a nice 4.3-inch display which sports WVGA resolution. It promises 768p and H264 media playback. JXD A10 comes with USB OTG and the transfer speed can reach upto 8MB/s.

Certainly, it performs the PMP functions very well, but can also be used for FM, TXT eBook Reader and voice recording. The supported formats are – MP3, WM, AAPE, FLAC, WAV, AAC.

Unfortunately, there is no information on its price.
