LG is soon going to unveil its newest HD media player, the XF2 in the month of April 2010. This upcoming media player comes outfitted with a 500GB hard disk drive and has the ability to output 1080p videos via its HDMI 1.3a port. It also has one USB 2.0 port for external storage.

Formats that are supported:

• Video Container: mkv, asf, avi, rm, rmvb, dat, mpg, mpeg, vob, iso, lfo, ts, m2ts, tp, mp4, mov, flv, xvid
• Video codec: MPEG-1/2/4, MJPEG(SD), H264, Divx HD, Xvid, VC1(WMV9), RM/RMVB(SD)
• Audio Container : mp3, wma, asf, wav, flac
• Audio codec: DTS(5.1ch), WMA, PCM, ADPCM, LPCM, AC3(5.1ch), MPEG-1 layer 1/2/3, FLAC, MPEG-2 Layer 1/2, AAC
• Subtitles: srt, sub, smi, ssa, idx+
• Image: JPG, BMP, PNG/GIF, TIFF
