Samsung YP-Q3

The new Samsung YP-Q3 has not been announced yet, but gagadget has somehow been able to find the image of it. It features aluminum finish, a microUSB connector and real buttons. There is no touchpad like the one found on Samsung YP-Q2.

Samsung YP-Q3 will also feature FM and a dictaphone. Another nifty addition is the inclusion of task manager.

Philips has confirmed that very soon they will be unveiling their newest PMP – GoGear. This PMP sports a 3.2-inch touchscreen and comes with built-in WiFi along with full access to the Google Android MarketPlace.

Philips will also be included a set of good quality earphones which, if you ask me, makes perfect since since it is being advertised as a media player and not as a tablet. Storage is 16GB which one can easily expand via a microSD card. Price – 250 Euros (315 dollars).

Window N5 is yet another Android PMP in the market that is powered by the Rockchip RK2816 chip. The PMP does not comes with built-in Wi-Fi, thus preventing the user to use it as a Mobile Internet Device. It comes outfitted with a 5-inch WVGA display and 8GB flash storage. Priced at around 100 dollars, there is almost no chance that it would ever make its way to US.

Gadmei has revealed a new PMP called PMP902 in China. It features a 8.9-inch display packing 1024×600 pixel resolution. Now, here is something totally weird about the display – it does not accepts touchscreen gestures and this means you have to operate it with its 5-way navigation button

Fortunately, there are few good things about it too – like its support for the 1080p MKV format and its ability to output 720p videos. Priced at around 74 dollars, it plays all major audio/video formats.

Teclast has launched a new PMP – C700 which comes with a 7-inch display with 1024×600 pixel resolution. This PMP supports full HD 1080p video playback. The company is yet to unveil detail specs of their 7-inch PMP

Thanko has launched a new PMP in the market called “Digital 3D”. This PMP is outfitted with a 7-inch WVGA display, SD card slot, 3D display that can be read without using 3D glasses. Priced at 260 Euros, it is actually not a bad deal at all.

Viliv has begun shipping of HD5 in South Korea. The Viliv HD5 is Viliv’s new PMP which features a Cortex A8 processor, 5-inch capacitive display, WVGA resolution, 1080p video playback, HDMI port, SDHC slot, optional TV tuner, Windows CE OS and 8/16/32GB flash storage.

Price – $258 (299,000 Korean Won)

Ramos has launched a new 1080p capable PMP in the market which has a UI identical to the T12, the Ramos T12FHD. It sports 5-inch WVGA display and supports pile of codecs – H.264, RMVB, AVI, MOV, MPG, MPEG, DAT, MP4, TS, and Dolby AC3, DTS, RA, AMR.

There is HDMI on the PMP too whcih would allow you to connect it to an HDTV. Price – 55 Euros for the 8GB model

RAmous has launched a new PMP in the market called the T18, which sports a 7-inch display and supports 1080p video playback. RAmous knows that there is no point of watching a full-HD clip on a 7-inch display and that is why they have equipped the T18 PMP with an HDMI port. Battery capacity is measured at 3000mAh and expected price is around $100

Myriad of PMPs have been rolled out in the past couple of months that tout HD playback capability. Most of them sported 7-inch display or less, but this one from Ainol has an 8-inch display. It is powered by Sochip SC9800 processor and has support for full HD movies. Of course, Ainol understands that to properly enjoy full HD, one needs to equip the device with HDMI port and they have done the same.
