It’s can be tricky trying to eke out the best frame rates on your NVidia graphics cards, especially when differing display resolutions are taken into account. Now NVidia has launched its GeForce Experience software app, the culmination of a 5-year project at NVidia, where the company has built a data center, complete with supercomputer, crammed with settings for hundreds of different processors, motherboards, memory configurations and GPUs.
The database also contains a huge number of gaming titles to enable the service to compute the best settings for any combination of hardware and game they haven’t yet tested. NVidia CEO Jen-Hsun Huang promised users will be able to download client software for their particular PC and use it to run any title – a cloud connection will scan the hardware and game details and then pull the optimal settings and resolutions from the database. Notebooks also included. Fingers crossed a similar service will be rolled out for NVidia’s mobile Tegra CPU range sometime soon. GeForce Experience (beta) launches June 6.
