Secondly, I want you to go to “Application Manager” on your phone and select “Application Catalogues” from the Menu and then add all the repositories one-by-one given here – Nokia N900 Repositories

Now, here goes the list for the best apps for Nokia N900:

Go to Application manager and click “Download”. Now, click All and use the keyboard to find these apps

1) Wi-Fi Switcher: By default, the Wi-Fi radio is kept on all the time. Use this app to switch it off when not in use

2) Firefox: Yes, it is the only phone out there to run Firefox, so why not install it. It works great, but I have found it to be a bit slow than the built-in Maemo browser.

3) FeedingIt: This is an awesome RSS Reader for Nokia N900. Must install

4) Xournal: This allows you to scribble on the touchscreen. Excellent for taking a quick note or two.

5) witter: A basic twitter client for the Nokia N900

6) Stopish: A basic stop-watch. Nothing fancy about it and gets the job done.

7) Mplayer: Just install it to enjoy the extended codec support

8) KMplayer: It is the frontend for the Mplayer. So you have to install it. It has played every single movie clip I have thrown at it. Excellent – very

9) Pidgin: Chat client

10) Currency Convertor: Works great

11) VIM: This is a must have for Linux geeks who like to play with shell scripts

12) GPE To-Do: By default, the Nokia N900 does not comes with a To-Do list app. This app does that function

13) AdBlock Plus: This blocks the advertisements in the Maemo web-browser

14) Extra Decoder Support: Add missing multimedia decoders for the built-in media player

15) Simple Brightness Applet: Allows you control the brightness from the Home Screen itself. Great for improving the battery runtimes of your device

Games for Nokia N900

Angry Birds: Free. Available from Ovi store. The link of Ovi Store is in the Maemo web-browser.

Ladyrinth Lite: A wonderful game that makes use of the Nokia N900’s accelerometer.
