Q: Which is the fastest SSD in the world? A: Micron C300 with 6Gbps

  • Sharebar

Micron has launched the world’s fastest SSD (solid state drive), the RealSSD C300 that uses the SATA 6gbit/s interface which would give you upto 355MB/s of read speed and 215MB/s of write speed. That is mighty fast compared to what is available right now! Currently, the industry standard is SATA 3Gbit/s. This makes this new SSD almost 2 times as fast as the SSD based on previous interface.

The new SSD uses MLC Nand flash. The C300 will be available in two sizes: 1.8-inch and 2.5-inch and two capacitites: 128GB and 256GB. It will be in production in the first quarter of 2010
