Microsoft starts offering Windows XP OLPC licences

  • Sharebar

No doubt, Microsoft had said some time back that it will continue to provide new licenses of Windows XP to the OLPCs.

Before you get too excited, here is the rules or requirements:

  • up to 1GB of RAM only
  • slow processor
  • small hard-disk
  • price $26-32 :!:

This is a nice step by the Microsoft to facilitate the growth of ultra-cheap notebooks and netbooks as the users of the OLPCs will be able to use something which the whole world is familiar with.
