Microsoft extends XP downgrade availability to 2011 – will XP live forever?

  • Sharebar

Microsoft has AGAIN made the decision to extend the availability of its Windows XP downgrade option. Reason this time? “Licensing issues with Windows 7 could cause some serious headaches for businesses that are still using XP”. Microsoft has also announced that XP downgrade option will be available for 18 months after the official release of Windows 7.

This is getting pretty ridiculous. I am pretty sure that a company like Apple would have never done that. If the Microsoft continue to do that then manufactures are never going to offer netbooks with Windows 7! XP OS will get a decade old in the year 2011 and it is high time that we upgrade our hardware for the next generation of operating system, Windows 7.
