Update to the latest BIOS: Get it from the ASUS website (BIOS 1002). LINK

How to get the ACPI keys to work? First, download this file. Now, follow the following instructions (taken from eeeuser)
1 Install SuperHybridEngine_1.16.exe
2 Copy asacpisvr.exe to C:\Program Files\ASUS\EeePC. UAC might ask for confirmation.
3 Create a shortcut to asacpisvr.exe in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
4 Open Start, type devmgmt.msc and press <Enter>.
5 Right click the unknown device and select "Update driver software".
6 Choose the "Browse…" option and select the folder where asusacpi.inf and asusacpi.sys were saved.
7 If it complains about an unsigned driver let it install.
8 Reboot and you should have better battery life, hotkeys and SuperHybridEngine.
