Hi? Do you know if it does indeed work for the 901 model or is it only a 1201x solution? Thanks.

Travis, once connected to Internet, update the software sources and then run the deb file

I tried sudo apt-get update to update the sources but I still get the dependency error. I’m using dpkg to install the .deb file, is there a similar command to update using dpkg?

I figured it out… a little more information would be helpful. First, on a default install dkms is not installed on ubuntu:

    sudo apt-get install dkms

Next, on the link to Matt’s page, it doesn’t contain the “Adding this PPA to your system” area. That is found here:

    https://launchpad.net/~matt-price/+archive/mattprice

I don’t know if it is necessary, but I added his ppa to my sources using:

    sudo add-apt-repository ppa:matt-price/mattprice

    and then ran the update:

    sudo apt-get update

    Hope this helps someone.

I am well and truly stuck. I’ve installed 10.04 on a Compaq Presario V5000 and have had ZERO success getting wireless to work. :(
