WARNING: RunCore ProIV SSDs being killed in Dell Mini 9 netbooks – RCP-IV-P5032-C
RunCore, a popular SSD manufacture is surely be getting quite a heat from the Dell Mini 9 folks. Recent Dell Mini 9 aka Dell Vostro A90 netbooks seems to be killing the RunCore ProIV SSDs. The SSD, once installed, shows up as 0GB in the BIOS. The horror story does not ends there. Afterwords, out of surprise, if you take it out wondering what happened with the SSD and connect it via USB, you won’t be able to write anything to it; won’t be able re-partition; infact, you won’t be able to anything with the SSD.
Oddly, this is not the case with the older Dell Mini 9 netbooks. We urge Dell Mini 9 owners, not to buy RunCore SSDs until we hear about it directly from RunCore
