Ubuntu Netbook Edition to go on a diet
Ubuntu Netbook Edition will trimmed down quite a lot and will include only those (lighter) app packages that are more relevant for netbooks. Canonical will not be including heavy apps like Openoffice in the final release of Ubuntu 10.04. Also, apps like PalmOS Pilot, Tomboy and graphics software will not be included in the Ubuntu netbooks edition.
Apps like Dictionary and Brasero will be hidden from the user as those are not the most frequently used apps on a netbook.
