I fully played around with it while configuring the Restricted Drivers for the client. Ironically, I prefer to keepJ Juanty 9.04 on my personal laptop. One thing I did not like was the removal of most of the really great Screen Savers found 8.10 Intrepid Ibex and Jaunty. But as the client was completely new to Linux this was not an issue. I am aware 10.4 is now available but I am recommending that the Newbie stick with 9.10 and really get the hang of Ubuntu before flipping to Lucid. I didn't notice any appreciable difference in Boot time and personally I think the issue is a overly nick picked and non issue. So, it appears that Ubuntu plays nicely with Toshiba Satellites.
