Toshiba AC100
Toshiba has rolled-out its first smartbook in the market with the specs that would surely set your pulse racing. The new Toshiba AC100 smartbook is powered by the Nvidia Tegra 2 (250) 1GHz processor and is almost wafer-thin. Toshiba claims start-up time of less than a second with an astounding runtime of 8 hours.
Available in black and orange, it comes with full-size keyboard and weighs mere 870gm even though it is outfitted with a big 10.1-inch display. This Smartbook runs the Google Android OS and comes pre-installed with useful apps like Documents to Go (office viewer and editor).
Wait, there is more! You also get 1x USB 2.0 port, 1x mini-USB port, 1x HDMI port (this one is biggie), 1.3MP webcam and an optional 3G module. It will be available in the month of August (2010).
There is no information on its price, but we are expecting it to be 50-100 dollars cheaper than a typical Atom-powered netbook
