System76 second-gen Starling Linux netbook launched

System76 is one of the few companies out there that still churn-out Linux netbooks and notebook now and then. The company has now released an updated version of the Starling netbook which will ship in the month of August. If you want to be the first one to get it, just hop to their website and pre-order one for yourself.

The battery is mere 3-cells which will eek-out 3.5h on a single charge. Fortunately, rest of the components are customizable. Specs – Atom N455, 2GB DDR2 RAM, 250GB HDD (other SSD/HDD options available), GMA 3150 chipset, and runs Ubuntu 10.04 Netbook Edition.
