Sony Vaio M dissected
Sony Vaio M is one of the few netbooks that do not allow the user to easily upgrade the RAM. Folks at mobicroco.de have done dissection of the Sony Vaio M netbook. The dissection process shows that the RAM is just under the keyboard. So, the end user just needs to take the keyboard off and swap the 1GB RAM with a 2GB module. Much easier than what we earlier expected.

Have you guys managed to work out how to swap the HDD for a solid state drive yet. I had a look, its accessible when taking the battery out yet its being held in with two screws on the bottom and some kind of metal chassis that although looks like it could be pulled out is being held back by some kind of catch system.. Anyone know how to release it ?
Hi,
I just bought a Vaio VPCM12M1E with a 2gb ram part.
How do you manage to take the keyboard off? Do you have to unscrew the bottom screws? Which part (upper or lower) of the keyboard has to come out first?
Many thanks!
