Should netbooks should sport wireless charging like Dell Lattitude Z?
The word “wireless charging” is really popular these days. Wireless charging dock, first made popular by the Palm Pre, is not adopted by Dell in its slim notebook, Lattitude Z. However, the Lattitude Z is not a netbook. It is a huge 16-incher weighing 4.5 pounds and body made up of magnesium alloy and chrome plated hinges.
Certainly, without a doubt, those are not the usual ingredients of netbooks we see everyday. However, does wireless docks make sense for netbooks too?
- They are very expensive right now. We heard that the wireless docks retain anywhere around 150 pounds or so. You can get a decent netbook for that amount these days!
- Wireless docks charge your devices slower than the regular charging cord.
- Charging cord is cheaper and easier to find too.
That said, there is still some chances that netbook manufactures will bring wireless docks to the netbooks. But they need to do something about the outrageous, unreal prices first.
