Run amazing games on Sony Vaio P – using modified GMA Driver

  • Sharebar

kyo86sg has modified the driver for the Intel GMA 500 chipset. For those who do not know, the chipset supports both OpenGL as-well-as D3D. By using this modified driver on the Sony Vaio P, you will be able to run the games like Running Red Alert 1, Worms World Party and GTA 2 at native resolution (1600×768 pixels) . You are also suggested to overclock the CPU for extra performance boost:

  • Atom Z520(1.33) to (1.60)GHz
  • Atom Z530(1.60) to (1.80)GHz
  • Atom Z540(1.86) to (2.20)GHz

Overclocking shall be done using setFSB and set the clock gen to ICS9UMS9610BL.

    Hello,

Do you have anything for debian based distributions ?
The driver provided by intel is not really “optimized”. And it does not work with the latest version of Xorg.
