PC vendors will get Intel Atom Pineview chips by end of this year – Netbooks next year
From past couple of months, there has been a lot of brainwork taking place whether by the end of this year, Intel would be able to launch its next-generation Intel Atom chip (codenamed Pineview/Pine Trail).
According to the PC World, an Intel official is stating that, although Pineview chips will be available with PC vendors in the fourth quarter of 2009, but to actually see a netbooks using it, will take another few months, which means early next year (Q1, 2010 or Q2, 2010).
