Onkyo Sotec DC204 netbook now comes with a 32GB SSD

  • Sharebar

With most of the companies now favoring the HDD instead of SSD, it is nice to see some netbook manufactures rolling out netbooks with SSDs. The Sotec DC204 is the Onkyo’s latest netbook that would be coming with a huge 32GB SSD.

While most of the netbooks are still stuck at the 16GB SSD limit, it is great on Onkyo part to equip this netbook with a higher capacity one. However, it comes with 1GB RAM, which is unfortunately soldered to the motherboard. This means that you are stuck at 1GB and won’t be able to upgrade it to 2GB RAM.

Battery life also seems to be a bit fishy. It claims 5 hours of battery life inspite of the fact that it comes with just 1800mAh battery. Ethernet and VGA ports are also missing from it, but Onkyo does provide an adapter, which will give you both Ethernet and VGA port connections.
