Notebook Manufactures want Standard power bricks
According to a report, Acer, Asus, Quanta, Compal, Wistron, Pegatron and Inventec are all interested in developing a standard power adapter together with the IEEE. We are still a bit away from that ‘standard’ become a reality, but something like this being considered is a step in positive direction.
However, there is no word on what is being standardized. We are assuming voltage would be the top priority on the list and the connectors as well. [via]
