No ARM/Android netbooks until Q1 2010
Asus has published its financial results today and it has revealed some interesting facts.
- Asus will continue to produce netbooks powered by Windows XP in 2009
- According to Asus CEO, X86 processors are more popular due to wide spectrum of applications available
- Netprofit decreased by 94% (this includes overall netprofit though)
- Netbooks running other operating system will emerge in Q1 2010. Not before that.
I think it is a right more by Asus. I believe the netbook market is still not enough ready for Android netbooks. The Android OS needs to become more powerful and more mature a bit more before vendors start putting it in their netbooks
