MSI Wind U230 Light now available

  • Sharebar

MSI is making another foray into the netbook market with the Wind U230 Light. Priced at 450 dollars, it is powered by the AMD MV-40 processor, also used in the Asus 12-incher – Asus Eee 1201T. It runs Windows 7 Home Premium OS and packs 2GB RAM. Infact, the netbook has same specs as the Asus 1201T except for the fact that U230 Light is equipped with a smaller display and is non-glare type. That said, pixel count remains the same at 1366×768.

The AMD MV-40 delivers better performance, but the battery runtime are not going to be all that great. Perhaps that is the reason, there is no 3-cell battery option for this netbook.
