MSI Wind U230 Light now available
MSI is making another foray into the netbook market with the Wind U230 Light. Priced at 450 dollars, it is powered by the AMD MV-40 processor, also used in the Asus 12-incher – Asus Eee 1201T. It runs Windows 7 Home Premium OS and packs 2GB RAM. Infact, the netbook has same specs as the Asus 1201T except for the fact that U230 Light is equipped with a smaller display and is non-glare type. That said, pixel count remains the same at 1366×768.

The AMD MV-40 delivers better performance, but the battery runtime are not going to be all that great. Perhaps that is the reason, there is no 3-cell battery option for this netbook.

Specs – AMD Athlon Neo MV-40 Processor Technology, Windows 7 Home Premium, 11.6″ display, ATi 3200 HD GPU (same as Asus 1201T), 250GB HDD, 2GB RAM, USB2.0 X 3, VGA (15-pin, D-Sub) X 1, HDMI Out x1, RJ45 x1, Mic-in X 1, Headphone X 1 and 6 cell battery. More photos here
