Laconia students to get Netbooks

  • Sharebar

Coming this Fall, students at the Laconia High School will be equipped with their own netbook. The school has decided to purchase 320 netbooks using technology funds and federal stimulus money and the students will be able to take the netbook with them when they go-in for Graduation. If they leave the district, they can buy the netbook.

"We are very excited about the opportunities this initiative opens up for students to prepare them for their future," said Superintendent Gary Hanson. "This is a lease program, not a give away program, that we have been wanting to do for the last couple of years. Due to stimulus money, the timing is perfect for the start of this program."
