Intel has launched a new 45nm Atom, codenamed as Moorestone., which is targeted towards tablets and smartphones. The 45nm Atom Z6xx features memory controllers and integrated graphics. Despite Intel’s bold claims that it is very power-frugal and delivers great performance, the analysts do not expect too much from this new processor, as it still 45nm, thus may not provide significant improvements over the current Atom family.

We are expecting noteworthy differences in the year 2011, when the Intel will unleash its 32nm CPUs, codenamed Medfield, which should be much more efficient
