According to economictimes, Intel believes that Atom CPUs can be used to power not only netbooks and nettops, but also embedded devices like mobile banking devices, point-of-sales terminals, GPS monitoring devices, personal healthcare gadgets and so on.

“Atom fits well in the embedded space and devices, which deliver internet-centric experience or needs to be powered by internet. A lot of such devices are under development and may hit India soon,”
